A Balanced Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, or that’s what your parents always told you, right? Believe it or not, breakfast actually IS essential to living a healthy life. Eating breakfast leads to a faster metabolism, balanced blood sugar levels, boosted energy levels, increases mental stability and starts your body off to a healthy day. Although breakfast seems like an inconvenience on the busy and chaotic mornings, there are many quick meals that satisfy your bodies morning needs.

“But, I eat breakfast and still have no energy and my stomach is growling an hour after I eat.”

The culprit of that is, an UNBALANCED BREAKFAST

What is Nutrition?

According to dictionary.com, nutrition is

  • the act or process of nourishing or of being nourished.
  • the science or study of, or a course of study in, nutrition, especially of humans.
  • the process by which organisms take in and utilize food material.
  • food; nutriment.
  • the pursuit of this science as an occupation or profession.

With that being said, nutrition is a huge part of our lives.

Believe it or not, poor nutrition actually does have a negative toll on our lives. Poor eating habits (under eating, taco bell every day, cupcakes for breakfast) can lead to stress, tiredness, unwanted breakouts, long-term illnesses, mental health issues and many more things. Making good, nutritious choices is not always easy, especially for college students. I am a college student, and I can confidently say that we have the worst nutrition. I am also from Mississippi, and we have the second highest obesity rate in the country, and the highest obesity rate for youth ages 10 to 17.

The cause of the up rise of health issues in Mississippi is the lack of nutritional education. So, I am here to show you how to change nutrition in yours and others lives by some healthy recipes, good diet plans, nutritional facts, and much more. I hope you follow me on this journey through a fun, NUTRITIONAL blog!
